How to install DELTA®-FASSADE S in open-joint cladding designs

Easier installation means a healthier bottom line.
Designed with applicators in mind, DELTA®-VENT SA comes fully adhered for simple and straightforward application, no fasteners required. With the self-adhesive edge-lap feature, ensuring an airtight overlap is easier than ever, taking the guesswork out of the application process. It’s lightweight, tear free, and works seamlessly with additional accessories in the system. DELTA®-VENT SA comes with clear and comprehensive installation guides and videos and technical documents that help reduce installation time and labor costs.
DELTA®-VENT SA vapor permeable air- and water-resistive barrier allows moisture within the building enclosure to escape through the membrane via diffusion, meaning water won’t collect in the spaces between. By allowing moisture to escape, DELTA®-VENT SA eliminates the risk of mold and other costly problems caused by water pooling where it shouldn’t. Its vapor permeability and air tightness make DELTA®-VENT SA ideal for building and maintaining healthy and comfortable interiors while letting moisture out and improving energy efficiency.

How to Install DELTA®-VENT SA

To turn your basement into a usable, livable space, proper moisture protection is necessary under your laminate flooring.

DELTA-FL can be installed in 3 Easy Steps:
1. Roll Out
2. Tape seams
3. Install underlayment and floor

Moisture barriers are often installed only on the walls of a basement and not the footing. Moisture diffuses from the area of high concentration below for the floor slab, to the low area of concentration in the basement.
DELTA-FL is a dimpled, heavy-duty, plastic membrane for concrete and slab-on-grade floors that helps to keep moisture out of your basement.

How to Install DELTA®-FL

Dörken’s DELTA®-MS is a residential foundation dampproofing and wall waterproofing membrane. Its unique dimple design and Air-Gap Technology provide effective and long-lasting protection. You can install DELTA®-MS in any kind of weather without the protective gear required for Asphalt Sprays. And you don’t have to wait for the concrete to completely dry before you start.

DELTA®-MS is available in many sizes to cover any foundation with a minimum of overlaps and seams. The high compressive strength of the membrane is achieved due to a special dimple design and pattern, and ensures sustainable protection of foundation walls up to 12 ft below grade.

Live demonstration at Construct Canada 2015:
Mahnaz Nikbakht and Krzysztof Apriasz demonstrate on a full scale model how to effectively integrate a window into a self-adhering air barrier membrane.

How to make window openings airtight - Demo @ Construct Canada 2015

Sequence 1: Installation of self-adhering air and water-resistive barrier DELTA®-VENT SA in strip-in method without pre-fabricated window corners for a rebate window.

DELTA®-VENT SA is a premium self-adhesive water-resistive and air barrier. Highly vapor permeable, water-tight, and aggressively self-adhering. The only self-adhering WRB and air barrier with the security of a self-adhesive edge lap.
DELTA®-VENT SA eliminates leaks at fasteners and helps improve the performance of the building enclosure with increased air-tightness.
DELTA®-VENT SA not only passes, but also dramatically exceeds the most stringent requirements of the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA) and of the National Building Code of Canada (NBC 2010) based on the results of ASTM E2357 - 11 Standard Test Method for Determining Air Leakage of Air Barrier Assemblies.
DELTA®-VENT SA is a three ply membrane. It has a printed top layer of spun-bonded polypropylene. The center is a vapor-permeable water-tight polymeric sheet. The adhesive is applied to the bottom layer of spun bonded polypropylene. This provides DELTA®-VENT SA with high tensile strength and reliable long term adhesion. DELTA®-VENT SA passes ASTM D 1970 Nail Sealability test for sealing around fasteners.

DELTA® Foundation Protection System

DELTA®-MS CLEAR is a highly effective foundation dampproofing and wall waterproofing system, specifically designed for Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) foundations. The transparent, uniquely-shaped air-gap membrane reliably keeps ground moisture away from the foundation wall - a key factor in achieving a permanently dry basement.

DELTA®-MS CLEAR is a dimpled membrane, impermeable to water and water vapor. The vacuum formed exclusive dimple pattern creates an air-gap between the membrane and the foundation wall. This unique design allows any incidental water getting past the dimpled membrane to flow freely to the perimeter footing drain. The air-gap guarantees a safe separation and full capillary break between the foundation wall and any ground-moisture.

The unique translucent dimple sheet has been specifically designed for Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) foundations. ICF systems have to contend with many seams that could potentially allow water intrusion. DELTA®-MS CLEAR bridges all these seams and creates an air-gap that separates any soil moisture from the wall. The high compressive strength of the membrane ensures sustainable protection of foundation walls up to 12 ft below grade.

DELTA®-MS CLEAR - for Insulated Concrete Form Foundations

DELTA®-MS is a highly effective foundation protection system, based on a uniquely shaped air-gap membrane. It reliably keeps ground moisture away from the foundation wall -- a key factor in achieving a permanently dry basement.

DELTA®-MS is a dimpled membrane, impermeable to water and water vapor. The vacuum formed exclusive dimple pattern creates an air-gap between the membrane and the foundation wall. This unique design allows any incidental water getting past the dimpled membrane to flow freely to the perimeter footing drain. The air-gap guarantees a safe separation and full capillary break between the foundation wall and any ground moisture.

Unlike any spray-applied coating, DELTA®-MS bridges large cracks and imperfections in foundation walls. This product can also be utilized as an effective protection layer over spray or sheet applied waterproofing systems.

DELTA®-MS is available in many sizes to cover any foundation with a minimum of overlaps and seams. The high compressive strength of the membrane is achieved due to a special dimple design and pattern, and ensures sustainable protection of foundation walls up to 12 ft below grade.

DELTA®-MS - Foundation Moisture Protection

DELTA®-FOOTING BARRIER resists the capillary rise of water from the footings of the building into the foundation walls, and thus helps to protect the basement from mold growth, deterioration of moisture sensitive materials and unhealthy living conditions.

DELTA®-FOOTING BARRIER acts as a physical barrier, resisting the capillary wicking of water and upward migration of moisture from the footings into the foundation wall that is also known as rising damp. The material is designed to adhere well to the concrete footing. It is very pliable, allowing the forming of a keyway as per common practice.

DELTA®-FOOTING BARRIER is an important part of the DELTA® Premium Moisture Protection System, and can be easily installed by just one person.

DELTA®-FOOTING BARRIER - for dry basements

DELTA® Rainscreen Systems with built-in drainage and ventilation layers provide reliable protection from moisture build-up. Preventing solar driven moisture from the outside to migrate inwards is an essential requirement to keep wall systems dry. This is especially important for absorptive claddings like adhered manufactured stone veneer or conventional stucco.

DELTA®-DRY is an innovative Ventilated Rainscreen that provides unrivaled drainage and drying capacity, a complete capillary break, and an effective barrier against solar driven moisture. The ideal protection behind adhered manufactured stone veneer, conventional stucco, and other absorptive claddings.
