With top brands and employees trained on the latest best practices and building trends, Golden State provides an unrivaled depth of experience to assist local builders, architects, and contractors who’ve relied on us since 1954.
Golden State is a third-generation, family-owned business founded by Glen Nobmann as San Marin Lumber in San Rafael. His son, Lee, later renamed and expanded the business by opening more locations throughout the Bay Area. Lee’s daughter, current Golden State CEO Jessica Scerri, continues building on the company’s commitment to convenience, expanding product lines and outstanding customer service.
