Makita X-Lock Angle Grinders are the latest innovation in grinding, cutting, or prepping. X-LOCK is a tool-less quick-change system that makes accessory changes up to 5-times faster than traditional threaded locknut mounting.
No longer will you need to search for wrenches or lose locknuts or flanges. X-LOCK also eliminates the over- or under-tightening of the threaded lock spindles. The quick-change system minimizes downtime between accessory changes.

The X-Lock System makes accessory changes in 3 easy steps.
1. Pull the lever all the way back to the UNLOCK position.
2. Push the wheel in to attach.
3. When it comes time to change the wheel, pull the lever up to quickly release.

Available X-LOCK accessories include diamond blades, cut-off wheels, grinding wheels, multi-disks, and wire brushes. Select accessories are backwards compatible and work with standard 7/8-inch arbor angle grinders.

The X-LOCK quick-change system is available on the 18V LXT® Brushless 4-1/2” / 5" X-LOCK Angle Grinder (XAG25Z), 18V LXT® Brushless 4-1/2” /5” Paddle Switch Angle Grinder (XAG26Z), and 4-1/2” X-LOCK Angle Grinder (GA4570).

The electronically-controlled brushless motor efficiently uses energy to match torque and RPM to the changing demands of the application.
