The V Foundation for Cancer Research was founded by ESPN and legendary basketball coach Jim Valvano with one goal in mind: to achieve Victory Over CancerĀ®. Since its formation in 1993, the V Foundation has awarded over $310 million in cancer research grants nationwide and has grown to become one of the premier supporters of cutting-edge cancer research. Due to generous donors, the Foundation has an endowment that covers administrative expenses.
Golden State has a tradition of offering pink October shirts each year to support breast cancer awareness. This year, weāre introducing a new approach and reaching out to our valued customers for donations. These contributions will be directed towards benefiting the V Foundation, and with the combined support of Golden State and BMD, we will match total donations up to $10k, potentially allowing us to contribute a total of $20k!
